Women empowerment and poverty

 

Introduction:

    Many women in the world are unemployed. Women empowerment refers to increasing the social, educational, gender , economic strength of women. Many women in rural areas lack educational qualification, skills and capabilities to work. As a result their dependence on men have increased.

Ways to empower women;

·    Self employment.

·   Change mentality towards women employment.

·   Provide start up cash.

·   Encouraging women to develop in fields they are good at and make a career.

·   Train and hire women.  

Self employment and providing start up cash.

     Many unemployed women lack qualifications and proper education. To empower these women we can help them by encouraging them to engage in activities like agriculture, making food products and sewing to earn money and reduce poverty. They can sell the vegetables and fruits they harvest and sell them, they can sew clothes and make food products and sell them. We can help them by giving plants , providing machinery like sewing machines and ovens. We can also collect funds and provide financial help ,so they can start their own business.

Train and hire women

    Women farmers generally do not have a formal education about farming, they learn farming while working in their farms. Therefore, they need a formal training and guidance, so they can produce fruits and vegetables with less wastage and low cost. We can provide proper training and guidance in agriculture to empower women. We organise training programs and work shops, this can help them on their agricultural activities. Women farmers do not have access to many agricultural resources including machinery, fertilizer, and plants. We can collect funds and help them financially. We can also help them by providing them with fertilizers and plants for free.

Poverty

 Poverty is the main cause which lead to hunger. Inequalities in income distribution lead to poverty.

Ways to reduce poverty

·    Increase employment

·   Free education

·   Industrial development

         Provide free education and increase employment.

              Education is the beat best method to reduce poverty. Proper education will indirectly lead to increase in employment. Many people in rural areas does not have access to proper education. Therefore, we can provide proper education to the people in rural areas and we can pro

vide education for free. We can collect money and buy books and stationery, and distribute them among poor people and schools. we can Keep seminars in schools can raise awareness on why education is important and benefits of education. This will encourage students to work hard. Indirectly employment will also increase through education.
